The pcsphonetones.com website, is a category-based ringtone and wallpaper download site. They were experiencing rapid expansion, and wanted to harness the benefit of their categorized design by selling products targeted to those categories. Pcsphonetones.com again turned to Ocular Box to create custom php classes for retrieving, caching, and displaying amazon product content in their categories. By merely passing a recording artist, movie title, etc. to our classes, our classes query amazon, retrieve and parse an xml document, generate a custom xml document, which drops unused data, caches the image size of choice, and generates the product list for that category. After implementation, new categories now create their own stores, feeding 10 new products every four hours to each category of their website.
Pcsphonetones.com, also requested we create a custom paypal donation form, and introduce Google adwords as two more sources of potential revenue. Pcsphonetones.com is growing rapidly, with over 4,500 members in only four months. As Alexa?s Traffic Ranking shows, pcsphonetones.com is nearing the top 100,000 websites for page views.
Lastly, pcsphonetones.com required a custom discussion forum that was compatible with their database of choice. We implemented a custom, error free php discussion forum on March 15th, 2004. We are currently working on custom date searches for ringtones and screensavers added on a particular date.
